Player Visits
Warriors players visit the Hospice weekly during the Autumn
period to spend time with the children, take part in activities and
understand more about the work that Acorns does. Each player
took time out of their busy training schedule in order to take part
and the experience they have been able to create for the children
and young people who use the services of Acorns is invaluable
and the impact huge.
Conclusion
In conclusion the first year of the partnership has exceeded all
expectations, when all the quantifiable information is brought
together Worcester Warriors have contributed over £108,000 to
Acorns Children’s Hospice in the 2011/12 season. In addition the
impact of volunteering, player visits and access to fans
and the wider Warriors audience has been incalculable and
hugely positive.

Warriors v Leicester Tigers 26th December
Our Christmas fixture was dedicated to raising funds for Acorns
Children’s Hospice. Our charity shirt competition attracted
over 500 entries from school children across the Midlands.
The winning shirt was manufactured and worn by the team.
The shirts have since been raffled and auctioned to raise
further funds.
