Our Season Ticket Holders are the very
heartbeat of Worcester Warriors. Your
strength of support brings out the very
best in my players – knowing the 16th
Man is right behind you and your team
mates can make all the difference in the
Aviva Premiership, where margins are
so tight. The 2012/13 season promises
to be another keenly fought contest and
we hope to build on the progress made
in 2011/12 to now move up the league
table. We have developed a defensive
system with Phil Larder that stands up
to Premiership scrutiny and now is the
opportunity to try and play with more
attacking focus. I would encourage
you to join us on what will be another
thrilling and action-packed season of
top-flight rugby with the Warriors.
The close bond between the players and
supporters here has been fantastic to
witness in my time at Warriors. Players
want to play at Sixways because they want
to perform in this fantastic environment.
There is no doubt that the level of backing
we receive makes it a special place full of
fantastic memories for everyone. Our derby
day success over Gloucester Rugby and
defeating reigning champions Saracens on
home soil are just two of my memories from
last season.
I’ve been delighted with our recruitment
ahead of the new season as we look to build
our first year back in the Aviva Premiership.
We have added top class players to our
squad that will not only make us stronger
but who have vast experience at the highest
level. They have shown they can perform
in both the international arena and in the
Heineken Cup. These are the type of players
we need to ensure we move forward and
achieve the great ambitions of our club.
The Warriors have made some huge strides
in recent seasons with promotion back to the
Aviva Premiership and then consolidating our
position amongst the elite. I’m now confident
that we have the right support structure
in place and environment to succeed in
2012/13. Our most important signing of the
summer would be you! Please get behind
