The Business Game
This year’s Business Game, supported by Warriors’ Chairman
Cecil Duckworth OBE, and backed by major local employers
including Bosch, featured engineering, addressing the urgent
need to attract bright young minds into the field, to seize
opportunities and rebuild strengths in creating and designing
products.
The Business Game connects students in years 13 and 14
studying A-Levels in business studies, maths, physics or
design and technology to opportunities with major local
businesses.
Teams of six competed in the Business Game designed by
Worcester Bosch and International Accountants KPMG, giving
students another quality enterprise to add to Curriculum
Vitae’s and Personal Statements. The Game was generously
sponsored by Worcester Bosch, Worcester Warriors and
Worcester Chamber of Commerce.
Sixways Stadium is an ideal location for other organisations to
use as a training ground. Last season we opened our doors to
local business and organisations to utilise the facilities for their
own training purposes. West Mercia Police are a regular visitor
to the grounds.
The Police Dog Department has been using the rugby club
as a training venue for specialist search dogs (drugs and
explosive search dogs) for several years.
The versatility of the venue ranges from sterile areas to live
busy offices, which is a fantastic test for the inexperienced
new dog to the old trusty experienced dog that has seen it all.
In quieter times the club is used to train the general purpose
German Shepherd dogs as it is a realistic training venue for
searching, tracking and public order exercises.
