I started off as a part time student
doing basic maths. I enjoyed it so much
that I went on to complete my A levels.
I then attended an open day for Aston
University and found the people were
so friendly; I felt like I would fit in here
as a mature student. I decided to apply
and was successful. During my first few
weeks I felt like everything was new and
the building was really big, but after a
while I got used to it. Going from being
a part time college student to a full time
university student was challenging at
first, there was a lot of work to do, but
at the same time I felt I was learning
a lot and there was plenty of support
available to help me to progress. I am
glad I came to university as a mature
student; I would have missed out on
so many opportunities. I have learned
many new things, made friends and I
have really enjoyed my time here.”
